Child Dies After Falling Into Hot Porridge In Binga

  A two-year-old toddler fell into a metal dish containing approximately 40 litres of hot porridge at Nzovunde Village, Binga, on 03 June 2025. According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the dish had been left unattended by the child’s grandmother, who was preparing to brew traditional beer. The toddler suffered severe burns and tragically succumbed to the injuries the following day.

84 year old gogo arrested for rape

  Granny arrested for rape An 84-year-old woman from Mufakose, Harare, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for repeatedly abusing a 17-year-old autistic student.  Erica Gurure would lure the boy into her home, force herself on him, and pay him small amounts of money (US$10) to keep silent.  The abuse continued from 2024 until the student finally reported the matter to his uncle in Ruwa, leading to Gurure’s conviction by Harare magistrate Letwin Rwodzi.
