Child Dies After Falling Into Hot Porridge In Binga

 

A two-year-old toddler fell into a metal dish containing approximately 40 litres of hot porridge at Nzovunde Village, Binga, on 03 June 2025.

According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the dish had been left unattended by the child’s grandmother, who was preparing to brew traditional beer.

The toddler suffered severe burns and tragically succumbed to the injuries the following day.
