84 year old gogo arrested for rape

An 84-year-old woman from Mufakose, Harare, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for repeatedly abusing a 17-year-old autistic student.

Erica Gurure would lure the boy into her home, force herself on him, and pay him small amounts of money (US$10) to keep silent.

The abuse continued from 2024 until the student finally reported the matter to his uncle in Ruwa, leading to Gurure’s conviction by Harare magistrate Letwin Rwodzi.
